@VishnuBhadoriya Create custom password field. Don't use type="password" in your input field instead use type="text". Manage input value manually, instead of showing user text, display '*' character and save user typed password in a variable. The browser would have no idea that the user has typed a password.

hello, I have a doubt what happens is that when doing a multiplication the result does appear in the console, but to see it in the browser input, the result does not appear, I am passing it like this document.getElementById("id_form-0-total_price" ).value =total_price0; total_price0 in the browser appears white but in the console total_price0 if its result appears

does anyone know why?

in the "Elements" section of the console? or the actual console

in console if it is seen but neither in elements nor in the browser is the result seen

what interests me is that it is seen in the browser not so much in elements

Hello

How to separate my logic into two files (vanilla JS)

for example, request.service.js will contain business logic

where I will retrieves the data for all films by calling the endpoint

with try catch and axios

and other file, stats-generator.js where I want to include that service

thats a good question

i'd declare a class in request.service.js, that accepts an endpoint url in the constructor, each method parses arguments, makes an api request, parses response, and returns the proper values or errors

prior to modules, aka supporting browsers that don't have module support, you'd just make one available to the other through window

stats-generator.js, constructs this class with the appropriate url and then calls the methods

as for what kevin is saying, the usual approach is somthing like:

So, my idea is to import request.service.js in stats-generator.js

@MileMijatović there's a lot you can improve here, but that depends on how complicated you want to make it, don't over engineer

e.g. custom error types, custom return types, helper methods, etc.

when we have React , Angular, Vue

it's sometimes easier for a small solution to just write up some simple js

I have a single page who's only purpose is to provide a search, and a paged interface. Yes, react could do that. but that'd mean setting up a data source, components, state, etc... when i could just have a url param and a little backend logic

there's always a risk when taking the simpler route that you'll need to start over when it becomes too complex for the simpler route, it's a trade off you learn to make judgement on with experience

@MileMijatović i built my website in vanilla, it worked perfectly, no issues. Then I switched to react, many hours and 100 dependencies later, it was the exact same site just with react.

there's... also different forms of development

both in programming and engineering in general

as far as where you spend your time

planning, documenting, iterating, testing,

whether your a measure twice cut once kind of person or more iterative with cut rough then trim till correct, etc

i'm completely in the camp of iterative/testing more so than planning/documenting

so having to start over when things grow out of the simpler approach isn't a real concern

I am looking for a full-time remote job opportunity, currently I am not employed. I love challenges , but everything that you mentioning Kevin , I couldn't apply on the real project, because I don't have a job

those philosophies can be applied to any project, and what side of the lane you lean toward doesn't really matter, only that you learn to understand where you fall so that you can play to your strengths

I have a variable called multiplicarTotal_Price that returns numbers, I want to assign it to an ID called total_price, in jquery I did this $('#'+total_price).val(multiplicarTotal_Price); but in the total_price console only its ID appears, not the value that I want to assign to multiplyTotal_Price, how can I make it have a value and not just the id

if that's putting the ID in the input value, then multiplicarTotal_Price contains the id, not the numbers.

mmmm and then so that total_price has the value of multiplyTotal_Price? do I have to invest something? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, so you say multiplyTotal_Price has the value of the id

i'm saying $("#foo").val("bar") will make "bar" the value of #foo

if you aren't getting bar, then bar isn't what you are passing in.

in essence what i'm saying is, the code isn't doing anything special behind the scenes

if you tell it to do X, that's what it's going to do

if you think you're telling it to do X, but it's doing Y, you're actually telling it to do Y, so you should inspect your instructions

in your case that can be as simple as console.log(multiplicarTotal_Price) before or after that line

next would be looking at what creates that value and assigns it to that variable
