Has anyone had success overlaying text on a fullscreen amazon prime video or jwplayer video? I can overlay text on most full screen videos using position: absolute and a higher z-index but it doesn't work for amazon prime or the jw player.

I'm trying to insert a div on top of playing videos, it works with all non-fullscreened videos, and most full screen with the exception of jw player videos and amazon prime videos. I can't understand what's blocking it or how to place the div above those videos.

hi, i am trying to get rss data from custom rss elements - but i am unsure how i refer to this? i am using this successfully: el.find("title").text() for items that are expected but i dont know how to refer to the custom items?

Hey guys, I have used JQuerys dialog to show up some lists and content in a dialog. Now, I do not want to use the dialog anymoe - instead, when somone clicks on a button, I want the content of the dialog to be shown on in a div on the page and when the user clicks on cancel, the content should disappard and should left a empty div behind (so I do not mean to change visibility of the content, but really load it like a dialog because some values are calculated dynamically). How can I do this?

Why are you mixing the success callback and done "promise" handlers?

You're also not returning from it, so it won't chain

Yeah that's not how you do it either

You can get the response inside your .done callback, you shouldn't need to use success
