we need a express/fetch lib but for websockets. I may start that for my next project. Integrated with react it could be very powerful.

I just read that, but don't answer. It is a good one

helps you to discover multiple insights on a particular problem and is useful if you encounter a similar problem. I just recall that there is a SE question and people suggested X or Y.

I barely look at those SE sites

I am still sad that a large part of the next generation of developers are still being spoon-fed too often. I start to see this at new recruiters at my work. Fresh from school but with poor coding quality. There were even commits that was just some collection of copy pasta from SO. So I (and my colleagues) have to "spend" (some would read it as "waste") time to train them to provide good code quality.

I once had to explain what a Map is and how's it can be useful for certain situations.

of course they're going to copy and paste code from SO

we didn't have that luxury starting out (or at least I didn't)

but that didn't stop us from writing crappy code

I did have made coding related mistakes when starting my career, but I certainly do know what a Map is and use the SO as a reference. But my base material is still documentation.

yet it has to be said that I understand if people is copy-ing over from SO if a library is used with barely any documentation

when you start off, you want tutorials to take you through everything step by step

later, you don't care about that, you just want reference sites

if anything, a quick install

though you make a fair point. If they're able to copy and paste code, maybe it is a hindrance in the end

it won't help them understand how it works, and that's kinda what you need to have a solid understanding about

When you run console.log() in a react native app you would get the script where the console was ran
but when you do a global console log such as this `global.dd('error here')` with its declaration as this:

global.dd = (...variable) => {return console.log(...variable);}

you will get back the script where the global was crated.
is there a way to still get back the actual place where the global was called or a function that return script details??

I think the reason its taking forever for me to build "general-purpose" (don't ask me what that means) utility libraries is because of the very nature of learning to code. The learning part, that is.

Because I'm constantly learning "new" features, practices and disciplines the libraries I try to write (and finish) keep getting more robust with code that mandates refactoring (and personal deadlines keep getting missed).

Now the question is, how the heck do I get out of this kind of development hell?

Context: It's been two years since I've been trying to write a utility C++ and JavaScript library now and that's two years too long for me that I ain't getting back... |:(
