That legit should be handled by the spec - if an async function is passed to the promise constructor you should get a rejected promise back if that async function throws.

If you send me an email at benjamingr@gmail I will take care of this when I get back from holiday. We can both fix this from Node side (detecting an unhandled rejection is from the promise constructor and throwing) and from the TC39 side.

@PeeHaa yeah, but safe for html is really hard (as you probably know) especially with tagged templates. There are some libraries but I don't know if any of them have formal proof (in the Mark Miller escape analysis + induction SES proof sense).

Mark is actually a huge proponent of both safety and tagged templates so hmm - let me check
