I have a table with two column called "from_date" and "to_date"
the table look like:-
I want result like:-
from_date to_date
----------- ------------
2013-11-25 2013-11-30
2013-12-01 2013-12-05
That date is splits from 2013-11-25 to 2013-11-...
If I have a table that (among other columns) has two DATETIME columns, how would I select the most recent date from those two columns.
Example:
ID Date1 Date2
1 1/1/2008 2/1/2008
2 2/1/2008 1/1/2008
3 1/10/2008 1/10/2008
If I wanted my results to look like
ID ...
yea, i know how sql works, but i will not understand what x, y, f, g, t or r mean, so it will be hard to understand a snippet which uses variables that way

SELECT o.OrderId, MAX(o.NegotiatedPrice, o.SuggestedPrice)
FROM Order o
But this isn't how the MAX function works, right? It is an aggregate function so it expects a single parameter and then returns the MAX of all rows.

If var X = {a:1}; and var Y = X;. Then if I change X values, Y will also change because it's a reference of the same object, right? That means that they are exactly the same object and is imposible to determine which one is the original one?
