If it helps, somone mentioned that I could use document.createElement("option") to make an option. I was thinking instead of saving <option id="01">(01) value</option> into the variable, I could make that same var an array so var[0] is 01 and var[1] is (01) value. I dont know how i would get those array items in to the document.createElement("option") though

There shouldnt be any options in 4th dropdown unless theyve picked the 1st 2nd and 3rd though

so if they click i while the other 3 are blank then nothing will show up

Its really annoying as It looks like I am this close to getting it working, i4check() outputs what it should... i think the reason it doesnt work might be because document.write writes to the page before anything else, so it needs to be updated whenever an option is changed
