@ParkingMaster Well, I also answered it myself. Sort of. I don't know the exact tool that misbehaves but I doubt anybody else can guess, either.
I mean, I don't even know the full build chain we have. I can look it up, I just haven't. But others don't have the luxury of easily looking up what I use.
