@corvid For me it's usually because the problem the library solves is an easy problem, and the library solves it in a way that doesn't fit in well with the codebase.

understanding each part is great, but you also need to understand the big picture and which parts should be outsourced

I agree with lemon that you learn a lot by re-implementing, but also with ssube that sometimes i's best to move on and worry about the bigger picture not what library you use for task X.

My best fighters have energy weapons, except for one, who won a legendary named incendiary launcher.

how can I teach webpack/babel to transpile that code so it is already a transpiled class at runtime?

let targetClass = new Function("return class ${name}{}")();

creating a an "empty class" with Function eval.. which happens at runtime and then you can't extend that class with babel-transpiled classes of course
