I stated my concern that we seemed not to be refactoring as we go, and his response was that since we're pressured for delivery it makes sense to deliver now and tidy up later, and we'll budget a proper sprint for fixing and tidying. I said that to me this seems particularly vulnerable to being shirked due to later problems being sprung on us. He agreed. He invoked Jeff Atwood ('version 1.0 sucks, ship it anyway')
