Hello I am unable to make Android Studio (4.2.2) recognize my phone (S7 - 8.0.0). I have enabled USB debugging, reinstalled the platform tools (r31), at connection assistent it says it found 23 devices but no one when in the next step "restart ADB Server". Its really frustrating since I am working on this problem for 3 hours now

if you are on windows open cmd and type

cd %SystemDrive%:\Users\%USERNAME%\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools\

adb devices

see if your device is listed

disconnect your device, do revoke usb debugging authorizations then reconnect your phone

@McMidas it can be recognized as both mtp and adb at the same time

Ok I revoked auth and reconnected but have still the same issue. I guess its something fraud with the drivers, since i have now a warning triangle icon next to MTP

this should be cd %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk\platform-tools\

that one was missing appdata

I think its some permission requirement as depicted in adb.logcat terminal always when i want to start it
