I think the issue is with the requirement. As a user I would not expect that to work, I don't know why you are trying to do that
like giving someone a note with your number on it and asking them to call you
then they suddenly catch on fire and burn to death along with the note, and a new person takes their place

our clients use our app to do the payment on their behalf. there is a case that we return an error message and we ask them to launch our app in standalone mode. but I have seen that they don't do it hence I suggested automating it.
so, instead of return a message to the caller app saying hey please launch our app in standalone I will just restart our app and some process get triggered hence he could do a payment next time.

the first word that comes to mind when I use the service (that isn't the service name itself) is what becomes the first word in the template
at worst it takes me 2 tries to remember the word I chose
and I get the added safety of not having my passwords all stored in one central location to get hacked
so I've effectively 'memorized' all of my passwords by only memorizing the phrase that comes after the word, and switching up the first word. I like the system quite a lot

I think from what I've seen with people, the biggest trigger for them separating from catholicism and the like is seeing the fear trap of hell for what it is

And they just deleted our access key - why you ask? - because we included the secret in our APK x.x
So - hypothetical:
Two solutions -
One, we proxy all traffic through our servers, with our servers attaching the header.
Two, we create a service which gives us a generated API key which expires after X
Both solutions carry the same risk right?
An attacker could fire 10,000 requests through us as a proxy in exactly the same way they could fire 10,000 requests directly using the generated key
Ah, but acting as a proxy allows us to rate limit if we detect an attack

Your API key is to authenticate you. Your clients aren't you. And they aren't you for X seconds. If your clients want to ask you make a request on their behalf, that's fine but they shouldn't pretend to be you.
Setup a proxy and rate limit the requests.
