I was reading a blog about Fragment -> Activity communication. On intro paragraph, the blogger said that on screen rotation when using interfaces, the fragments keep a reference to "old" activity instance. I suppose it is true when the fragment is set to retain instance?

just recently I got access to a new code base and the previous developers are following that, so they are nesting many classes in a single file. I find it super nasty as it obscures a lot of the implementation.
I wonder if anyone has a different opinion about nesting many classes in a single file or I have severy OCD with that
