This might be related to using close reasons which do not quite fit, but what should one do when a question is closed with an obviously wrong close reason? Example: find middle point in c array In the specific example, the close reason used was no-repro or typo, while the obviously valid reason...

@MuratK. I generally at the scale of SO wouldn't worry about a question being closed for a "wrong" reason. Putting a question "on hold" is to mostly prevent answerers making a guess and to give the OP time to (hopefully) improve their question so it can be answered correctly.

The only edge case I can think of is if non-gold badge holders vote to close as a dupe, and then it gets overriden by a majority reason of too broad/unclear/whatever and then there's the risk of loss of information, a useful sign post for further visitors and an answer in the linked dupe for the asker.
