Parameters view The view within the AdapterView that was clicked. position The position of the view in the adapter. id The row id of the item that was clicked. Returns True if there was an assigned OnItemClickListener that was called, false otherwise is returned.

i know how to retrieve the row id when you do onListItemClick, but when im doing what im doing there its a bit more difficult
@LabeebP im actually doing that now... I'm creating an activity which is in a dialogue theme, when you click the request its like a popup with just the 2 buttons
well it refers to the id of the object in the database
for sqlite
which is a good reference to do things such as edit or delete rows
position means like
from top to bottom in the list, id means the actual id of the row, which is usually determined my chronological order of creation, where as position can move based on alphabetical order, etc
i need to either find or create a method which can get the id of the row at a given position
