Well, we just had a kind of "get to know you" chat and at the end he said you'll still report to <my boss's name> so nothing will change there

He could see the dissatisfaction in my eyes because he closed the door and asked if there was a problem with that. Haha

And he recently told me that he's working on getting me out from under him (which seems to be that he has) so that was nice
