being back in the dating scene has also kind of emphasized those feelings so i'll probably take a step back so I can take longer to reset

@MwBakker ahh I did as well - it was because I have some things of hers I would like to return to her

and things ended very mutually and amicably and she told me I could reach out any time if I needed anything / wanted to talk

but looks like she was not being honest , or something changed (or something is happening in her life)

@MwBakker Yeah.. I mean I kind agree kinda don't. If you don't take enough time to relearn to be alone you'll just bring baggage into a new relationship IMO

@ballBreaker well as harsh as it sounds, she is prob not reaching out to you in order to have you out of her head as a potential partner

till these emotions are "flattened" she will be able to talk to you again

It's always a bit of a rough transition from being with someone to being alone again for me

going from talkign to someone 24/7 to an occasional friend here and there

it does suck

yeah, just takes a bit to get used to

I find if I jump from relationship to relationship too fast - then I don't "reset" and get back to being comfortable being 100% alone, which is pretty key for me before dating again

because otherwise I can get a little clingy

i haven't taken the adderall in months lmao idk if that's a good or bad thing. they help me focus, but i noticed they were making me feel kinda off sometimes and i didn't like the crash i would have when they wore off

since its more of a physiological response, I'd consider something like an SSRI or SNRI more of a psychological drug

@Smarticles101 well if u ever wanna try it - I found 'Strattera' generic name 'Atomoxetine' (an SNRI) to be helpful for my ADHD while not making me feel super fucked up

@Smarticles101 what ever happened with that girl? are you still friends?

downside is that it had some libido side effects for me - and makes hangovers like 25x worse

@JBis lmao she texted me a few months back to ask how i was and i ended up just being honest and telling her she hurt my feelings. she still wouldn't really tell me why she cut me off. but it was good to get that out cause i had definitely been holding it in, but yeah we don't really talk much anymore. i at least feel better about that situation which is what matters most i think

it's been ok otherwise. i'm still friends with all her old roommates (they don't really like her anymore), and i've got a few friends i've been hanging out with since being home

I transitioned from backend to fullstack and have been focusing mostly on frontend lately

I'm technically still a backend developer per my role.. but I'm the frontend dev on this project

and the BE for it is such a shit show LOL and I've just been tapping out entirely on it and not paying it any attention

I feel like the team is expecting me to switch hat to BE to help them but I'm so not interested

@Smarticles101 LOL its a pretty mixed bag I'd say

I feel like with every company I've worked for you get a small small handful of people that are EXTREMELY competent, and a small small handful of people that are EXTREMELY incompetent and everyone else is just average

the nice thing (unless you're the person) is that the extremely incompetent ones don't last very long

I'd say it's probably 10% extremely competent, 10% extremely incompetent & 80% average
