I have a fragment with 4 text fields and 4 dropdowns on the click of a submit button I send the request payload to the server.
Besides this,there is a separate activity which shows the list of addresses(in a RecyclerView), when I click on the item I need to show the above fragment which contains the values as in JSON array as shown, those text fields needs to be populated and those Spinners should also be populated.
I need to test this.

@GeekDroid it is incredibly difficuly, and sometimes not possible, to test code that is not arhcitectured well. In your case with the HTTP calls being made in the activity, I wouldn't even try to write tests
The Http calls are not in the activity they are in a separate library named webServices, but they are still called in the fragment via other functions.
Just one doubt, let us assume that there is no MVVM architecture and we are in 2018, where should one put the network code and how does the Activity or fragment receive the data from the webservices ?
regardless of how your code is architectured exactly, like what pattern it doesn't matter, it is very important that nothing in your UI layer (fragment, activity, views, etc) have any idea about where the data comes from
now we have viewmodel, back in the day there was presenter, or controller. It doesn't matter. It just needs to give data to the UI, and the UI doesn't want to know where the data came from

Yeah I think if anything these are signs of what might be to come in the future, so if you don't start actively looking now - use it as a sign of how things might turn out down the line
I guess my opinion shifted and I might prefer a bigger company where I have a senior that I can ask stuff without feeling hesitated because its such a small team with large pressure upon them
but because of the routine of a big company I would prefer to then work in a different country so it keeps life fresh for me
also no more php + js it's too fragile unless it's a decent JS framework like Vue
