honestly I'm a bit torn payel, because from what I hear about india there is a lot of toxic male behaviours and IIRC it's quite dangerous there for women
so I can't really apply the same logic I feel at home here to india, but I don't live there so I just know what I hear from media etc
@MwBakker hmm I think I understand where you're coming from but it's a bit misguided, and the idea that crying makes you weak - to me, is bullshit. Bottling up emotions is very unhealthy and it doesn't make you strong.. if anything dealing with your emotions in a healthy way makes you strong
Well the girl in the second video has been bashed, slanged, cursed, trolled at ccertain quarters, while appreciated, commended, applauded at other quarters
let's say that when my mum was about to pass away things would have been way harder to deal with if my dad would openly show all the emotions to us. Him staying strong like that meant a lot and I believe it corralates to a male (father) figure not going over emotional over such matters

no no it's not that extreme ofc he did show emotions, but he hide a lot of them so he could talk to us: remain clear and perform the plans of actions he did to take care of her. Frankly I am very grateful for that 'stable' figure he had been there instead of a rollercoaster of emotions
I can pretend like having "the best" for the world but then I got out, pour gas in my car from a country they throw gay people off buildings, while I am wearing clothes from Bangladesh (or wherever surpressed country) looking at my phone that has some chance of child labour processed in it
@MwBakker I think there is room for a grey-area/middle-ground though, you can understand that the world is fooked and there are horrible things, and still make an effort to make it a slightly better place
