So as of Android O /proc/stat cannot be accessed. I'm currently looking at CpuStatsCollector to get the CPU frequency. Are there any examples that I can use to implement this?

yes, however free slack has a limit of 10,000 messages afaik. That means no chat history. Idk what discord does here
