Q: Android get images from gallery or camera and save to drawable and save file name in database

i need help im a beginner in developing android can somebody give an example on how can i save images from camera/gallery to drawable and save file name in SQLite. I've tried to search but i can't find the solution. Please help me.. Thanks in advance..

hi all!

people... has anyone an idea, how to share a file via standard android sharing dialogue?
So far I tried creating a file in getFilesDir() directory, then share it via content provider (lots of examples on SO and google). But no luck - shows error whatever I do, when sending file - cannot attach a file.

is there other way to send it? File is a txt containing short json

is it possible in android to teach my app to open files of some custom extension? eg I do some exporting into myfile.mytype, then I click on that file and my app says to system: hey - I can handle those files, let me!

you can't get all you want. Gotta select:
app it associated to open files with my extension.
But it opens a new app instance if it is already running. ok. Setting my activity that has intent filter to be android:launchMode="singleInstance" (or singleTop or whatever there is) - it doesn't start new instance... BUT! onNewIntent get EMPTY intent, with no action inside, lol

works ok, though, if close app before opening file
