but in your code snippet, you dont have an if statement, so also no else

@xJames Sound effects are only available in the first two lines of an if-statement since Java 11. If you use inline-style though, it should work just fine.

why is the last line a map from an Integer to a Node?

@Permian Because they implemented it so that each Node is a k/v pair, and is stored with an Integer key in the map, which means that your Node, which has a key property, is stored indexed with that same key externally in a map. I don't know why someone would do that, but they did it that way.

They could literally just store the same stuff in an <Int,Int> map, instead of nesting it in a map like this (int0, Node(int0, int1))

Okay nvm, apparently that "LRUCache" thing is doing weird stuff, so that way of storing things probably makes sense in some way

If I have two classes with the same name in two seperate packages with the same name, in two other seperate packages with the same name, in two different modules with different names - how would I redirect my import in IntelliJ, to import the class of the other module

are the "keys" the same of the "node.values"?

so Map<TypeOne, TypeTwo> has keys of type TypeOne while values are of type TypeTwo

the hashmap is a map between a key and a pointer (effectively) to a node

@Permian * The keys are the same as the node.keys when you set/put them, but I assume they'd change later on, as the output from your first example wouldn't look that way otherwise

hi All, I am trying to implement the TCP IP server in java.. while reading the data from client, I don't have any end-of-input character defined in client.. so my sever is not able to understand if client and has done with sending the request and start the sever processing on that request..

I am using buffered reader to read the input stream .. is there any way where server would be able to identify that client has done with sending the request, start processing the request and return response back to client??

as started in the example on oracle docs for socket programming they are using ctrl + c as the end of input character.. I am not having anything as such to indicate end of input from client

@AbrahánDeLabastida get used to maven, perhaps learn a bit of spring, and try to get used to Java 8's concepts

perhaps also try IntelliJ IDEA

@mobizen im not sure what you could do... it all sounds too low level for me
