@hakre i already delete messages but i need to delete on the other table when i delete on messages , and since records are tons, i'm trying avoiding to keep results for delete
cause in this case the only thing i think is to keep messages to delete , and by their IDs delete in the other table
but what if messages to delete are 100K ? huge query , cause will be SELECT + DELETE + DELETE

Hey all. I have a question. I am thinking about building my own personal email server. I will most likely be using Redhat or Ubuntu as the server operating system and my old desktop computer as the physical hardware for the server. The thing i am asking you guys is that when the server is up and running, what email client should i use on the web interface? Should i use one that is already made? Or should I write my own client user interface in PHP?
@DemCodeLines why would you care so much about such a thing? it's not like anyone else other than you is going to ever see it. unless you're starting an email hosting business...
@DemCodeLines you have to play with those imap_ functions, learn how email server work,
@DemCodeLines You have to make your own spam filter, make inboxes, other mail folders, Interface may be easy. but managing all those emails is a tedious job (unless you are too much determined to write your own)
@cipher I mean, most of these web clients are good in terms of functioning and back-end stuff, but to be honest, they are pretty ugly in terms of how they look to the user :D
@DemCodeLines Unless your family gets emails with attatchments too large (that it fills up your hard drive) or someone email-bombing your server, you are good! :)
If someone writes that the page shows up as blank when using PHP, there should be automatically a warning message before submitting that he should first try ini_set("display_errors", 1); error_reporting(-1); on the top of his file

@bwoebi Then I would say that's pretty insane, personally. I would imagine that gdb would give you way lower level info than you actually need and the data would be full of pointless noise. Admittedly I've never tried it, but I can't say I think it's the best tool for the job...

@bwoebi Sounds like you could do with re-structuring your code, personally I'm not a fan of *_once - just design your code so that the files only get loaded once.
