@MPKaboose as a developer you can only be in one camp: the tab camp or the spaces camp. you may not be in both. the right camp is the spaces camp. the other camp is full of weirdos.
@NullPointer imo a good percentage of his problems on this site stem from a language barrier. i am convinced he wasn't aware for a long time how rude he got across. whenever I spoke to him he was accessible. and if you look through his recent activity you will see that he sounds almost normal nowadays.
Keyboard seems to be reacting, (because CAPS LOCK and NUM LOCK lights respond), but even if I enter my password and try to use some shortcuts, it doesn't seem to do anything.
@MadaraUchiha I have the same issue with my ATI card. Since the hardware acceleration doesn't kick in all 4 CPU cores go to 100% and start reaching high temps when watching 1080p or playing a game.

The same issue is in Xubuntu, it's what I'm running currently. The driver worked fine at one point and hardware accelleration was working and all, but then some update from either the driver or kernel botched it up and since then it no longer works, not even on fresh install =o(
I don't know which kernel it stopped working on, it's been almost a year I've been running this way. I kinda gave up hoping it would fix itself =oP I don't have kernels from that long ago still on system.
@Gordon VLC works ok, since I tweaked it to be less of a strain, but watching a flash video in 1080p makes all cores reach critical temp, once comp auto-shutoff since it overheated.
Linux is obviously better, but with Windows, it usually "just works" without much of a hassle, and if it doesn't work, it doesn't come to a grinding halt, and explode in your face.
@kaᵠ my raspberry can play 1080 without sound fine. the moment I try to watch with DTS audio, I get lots of stuttering. 720p works fine though.

@kaᵠ forget what I just said. it's apparently an issue of the rasp not using hardware decoding for the DTS which is causing the issues. not the video, which uses the gpu.
@kaᵠ im using raspbmc and there is an option for that in the advanced sound setting to use passthrough. my philips tv doesnt support it though, so I cannot watch 1080p with DTS
@Gordon hi once again. Since I started talk about request methods with you today, I think it is only logical to ask you about main thing. What method or approach you would suggest for sending files from form to some other host, that is on diff. server, than the one, that send those files. Would want to acomplish sending via curl. Maybe you know of some good questions here regarding that.
Hello everybody! I have a little problem. I'm writing a small PHP framework inspired by Symfony's components. The basic philosophy is that each component can be used on its own. Some of the components can work with others, in my case a configuration class returns configuration to the caching class. To keep the classes as decoupled as possible I use an interface. The question is where to put the interface, as it should always be available to both libraries. My file system is PSR-0 compatible
@hakre it's learning curve is extremely gradual, there's a lot of tutorials out there, and it offers immediate gratification upon copy and paste from the docs ("oooh look that thing slid up. now it slid down! no way")

actually I was working in PHP for last 6 month.& Now I have good grip with joomla and wordpress. So in my PHP journey which Framework I should prefer for Next?
@JackLB lots of choices. laravel is gaining some traction and has some cool aspects (other than saying it's for "web artisans", which is blech). drupal will have a friendly learning curve coming from wp and joomla, but also broaches some more serious topics. people seem to be down on zend framework 2, but it has a thing for everything.
you might just check out this: php-fig.org to get an idea of some of the notable options out there.

have you looked at how symfony handles semantic configuration of services? bc i think that might be what you're describing
@dyelawn Interface. Cache class has a 'setConfig(ConfigInterface)' method and Config implements ConfigInterface. Where should ConfigInterface be located? In Config folder, Cache folder or somewhere else?
@igorw i was trying to differentiate between the Object Interface and the idea of an "interface" as something that mediates communication between two things.
@dyelawn What about if Cache library is being used on its own? How would developers know which methods must they implement, if they want to use their own config class?
If I'm using PDO in my data mapper, how do I successfully call $statement->execute()twice without having some prepared statement collisions. When I use $someDataMapper->fetch($someDomainObject); then $someDataMapper->save($someDomainObject);it saves twice in my database? if I comment out one of the $statement->execute() it only saves it once. Anyone?
@JanL there are other people here who will give you better answers than i will, but i think that what you're talking about is a CacheConfigInterface
but by default, if you're using something from another folder, that component is going to be coupled. (probably going to get my behind handed to me on this, but that's how i understand it)
so you have a Cache/CacheConfigInterface.php, and a Cache/CacheConfigModel.php which implements the *I*nterface
@igorw i probably could have been more clear. i had a difficult time learning Object Interfaces because i couldn't get the idea out of my head that it bridged communication between two objects.
@JanL ok, so call it CacheConfigurable, InterfaceCache (even though this seems ridiculous), or CacheArchitect or whatever you'd like. the point is, if you want something that can configure your cache Class without being bound to the Config Component, it's going to have to be in the cache DIR
and what tells you what you need to do to configure the cache? (this is what i thought the point of the InterfaceCacheConfiguererInterfacerThing was for)
I've recently installed Ubuntu. It's graphical; how can I switch to command-line mode so that everything is to be typed, like DOS?
