@Ocramius how do you get it on a package manager? e.g. i want to make some changes to fakeperson/fakepackage. when i fork, it's stored at [github]/me/fakepackage. so when i try to submit it to packagist, it says fakeperson/fakepackage already exists

so i change the package name in composer.json to me/fakepackage

but then it installs everything in vendor/me/fakepackage/fakeperson/fakepackage

@dyelawn you can add a "vcs" repository type. That way, composer will first scrape your own repository before falling back to packagist

ok, idiot's question. any way to revert a composer update? that is, to fix a "composer.phar update" where you forgot to add the name of the individual package you wanted to update?

nevermind, just going to set minimum-stability: dev and put @stable flags behind anything available in a stable version. this will probably still cause me to get dev packages for deps of deps, and i'm sure there's a better way to do it, but i can't figure this complicated mess out
