Question for everyone. I would like to begin building my own custom, small MVC framework from scratch. It wouldn't be used for production, but rather just a learning experience. The first framework I learned was CodeIgniter a while back, but I know that Laravel/Symfony is much more secure/popular. I'd like to dig into one of the existing frameworks to learn about how they're set up, where should I start? Something that is not too overwhelming.

@TimothyFisher I'd suggest starting with slimframework.com

It's a lot simpler than laravel/Symfony, and doesn't insist on it's own way of doing things as those frameworks do.
