It does not replace project's specification or code comments. It is not "the best". It just has a specific scope at which it can be useful.

If you do that, you a) effectively forbid sharing and b) don't allow the use of a generator that has been advanced past the first yield

And now that I think about it, doing a rewind() call at the start makes a lot of sense -- we do this for all other Iterators

(Of course not an actual call, but check if we're AT_FIRST_YIELD and throwing otherwise)

@NikiC This makes a lot of sense to me. I've thought about adding a call to rewind() in my coroutine implementation to disallow generators that were started.

It seemed pointless though if you could circumvent it with yield from.

    yield $k => $v;
}
// for everything that isn't a generator. So we do rewind() calls there.
// However we don't do them for generators

@bwoebi Apart from reusing an iterator being a bug in the vast majority of cases (if it's not, use NoRewindIterator), some iterators require it

If you use SPL iterators and don't rewind you're going to have a bad time
