@LandonZeKepitelOfGreytBritn I doubt there is much rationale, as such. People wrote menuconfig to make it easy to do things they wanted. Apparently what you want isn't widely enough used that anybody decided to add code to menuconfig to support it. If you want, you could become the person who contributes code to do that. If you don't think it's worth the trouble, chances are others who've used the same didn't either, and that's why it's not supported yet.
