I just started programming. Do you expect me to ask a question that will "contribute" to the site? How am I suppose to get better if i'm being blocked for asking a "low quality question"
And yes, we do expect people who ask questions to ask questions that "contribute to the site". We get hundreds of questions a day and need a serious quality control system to filter out what is worth keeping.
A lot of people think that's discouraging to beginners and people who aren't reading at a college-level and people who aren't native English-speakers. This is very helpful website, which is why I don't understand why the "quality of my question" is what's getting me blocked from asking another question. Is this website here to help people code? Is this specifically for professionals?
@JalaunRoss the first thing about this site is it's not a help forum, it's an archive of questions and answers. Any question that requires us to go back and forth is more or less not welcomed. Your questions should be self-contained - they should contain enough for an expert to answer, but no more.
