That would be what I would do in a normal scenario. Here they have ways to keep me at my current place so it doesn't make sense to look for new stuff and invest a bunch of effort into that, when they come along and say "Well nice you got something new, but you are staying with us anyway".
It's a total mess, I am in but as said, I hope it goes by and I get out of this as a winner :)
