I don't just eat fast food all the time, but I mostly only make spaghetti or canned stuff due to time and lack of involved cooking/cleaning process, unless it's a special event or I have a guest over.

@Nils The "Languages" one is a bit misleading. I thought (and it said) it was "not about learning how to program", and instead about, like, the philosophy of language design, etc. It said expressly that "this course is not about learning ML, Racket and Ruby".

However, all it's done so far is made us learn ML, Racket and Ruby...

No manifest typing, see var. Manifest typing is nothing but annoying and languages that require it everywhere are bad.
Decent generics; in Java generics are type-erased and contribute absolutely nothing to the language. They’re just syntactic sugar with some compile-time errors which can be easily avoided with a cast.
Lambdas, which will be there in Java 8 which is quite unfortunate since I can’t rant about Java lacking lambdas anymore then.
LINQ, no further description required.
No single class per file restriction, which is completely pointless and leads to nothing but maintenance hell.

For as far as I know C# runs on .NET and Mono.
