So much software today is written by people who aren't really interested in doing it, but are paid by other people who don't have the technical skill to write it themselves and in fact aren't really interested in developing the software per se, but have figured out a whole bunch of other people would be willing to pay money for it.

Maya and Skype are pretty hardcore about it, though.
