@nwp Most of the loungers are addicted to the internet, internet is toxic in large doses. Having a detox and stay away from the internet every now and then is good for health.

What if ... events such as industrial revolution or even Issac Newtons discovery of fundamental physics and calculus are not only the accelerator of human's advancement, but also act as a timer? That if we don't reach the next level by certain time period, human societies will be doomed for destruction due to various reasons such as the deterioration to the environment or population explosion? Timer will only reset when we reach the next level, such as inter-galaxy travel?
Given this years extreme weather, US's prohibition of abortion, China's advocation of having more babies, it looks like we might be on the track for distraction soon.
India is doing exceptionally well, about to become the most populated country albeit only have 1/3 of the area as US/China.
It would be scary if wild weather becomes a norm.
More people than ever ... and less food because of climate uncertainty, it is going to be ugly ...
People should be banned from flying to climate summits, such oxymoron.
People should also be banned from driving to climate protests. Protests are fine, if you want to join, walk, cycle or jog.
