Anyone is good with shell script, anyone?

which shell even? There's huge differences between even zsh and bash

or even "way outdated mac os bash" and "typically modern bash on linux"

I have a very simple question: if FULLNAME is a string variable where I store the full path and file name of a file. In shell script do I do 'scp ${FULLNAME}' or 'scp $FULLNAME' to scp this file?

both should work with bash, but I use ${abc} usually, because I also prefer that synatx in cmake

But scp failed. If I substitute it with the actual string, it will work.

well if the string contains spaces or stuff, you still need quotes around the variable

scp "${FULLNAME}"

Oops, my bad, I accidentally deleted the part after scp ${FULLNAME}, thus not working. It's all good now.

I had to start exercising and stretching to stop some chronic pain due to sedentary lifestyle though

And changed my mouse to stop what seems like the beginning of carpal tunnel

So at least I've got the pain in check for now

But already enough chronic health issues ^^'

@JerryCoffin You can get blood transfusion from young chinese girls. Maybe that will help :D

Anyway, I hope the arthritis can be treated. If it's caused by an auto-immune reaction then there are good meds out there AFAIK. (I started getting severe psoriasis two years ago and I'm now getting immunomudulating medication, and it helps a lot...)

@StackedCrooked Autoimmune wouldn't be surprising--I've had some other autoimmune problems for years. Nothing really terrible, but painful at times nonetheless.
