So, unity build with cmake is 4x faster than single threaded non-unity build

but I gotta check how much the header only approach was

one thing that I didn't quiet understand was how much my coworkers would be confused by a header only approach

the header-only approach is something that's rather specific to internet-community/open source software

Yup, looks like the old header only approach was about 30% faster than the unity build, which is surprising because the old header only approach had a few extra things like frozen

Also the options in clang and gcc that control the depth of constexpr evaluation (or rather number) seem broken. AKA you can't set them above some incorrectly documented threshold.

I used a bunch of different Linux through time and was never good enough at it to make a difference between the distributions

good chance they will pay for something, possibly Windows :-)

I do always get a chuckle out of the windows store having some distros like WSL centos for like 2 bucks

well you're in luck then, most distributions are either Debian or RedHat based, so you experienced the two most widely spread systems

in b4 Arch or SuSE

Or it could be the other way around - I am using them because they are the most used Linux distributions in the first place.

I remember having used Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS and Fedora at least, maybe a few others

Never Arch nor SuSE

Back in my uni days, we used Unix instead of any flavour of linux. Ubuntu & Fedora R Nu :x
