I thought I did pretty wacky stuff, a substantial portion of my work is automating IVF. Its deeply uncool to talk about what you do. At this point its mostly people talking about other people, who I don't know.

I don't really feel super concerned by stuff that have to do with being somewhat fertile :p

Fun part is that it's possible to make an egg cell out of almost any cell. They did mice in Japan from skin samples. On the other hand I'm not aware of anybody who has made sperm, and Y chromosome eggs don't develop.
