@JerryCoffin Not sure it's smellier but maybe fresh ones would have been eaten sooner

speaking of which, people's stomach seems to be a good insulator - no matter how smelly the thing is, you can hardly smell it once it's in someone's tummy

I need help with a makefile

libmylib.so: mylib.o
$(LD) $(LDFLAGS) -shared -o $@ $^

libmylib32.so: mylib32.o
$(LD) $(LDFLAGS) -shared -m32 -o $@ $^

%.o: %.cpp
$(CXX) $(CXXFLAGS) $(DEFINES) -o $@ -c $^

my problem is that my file is just mylib.cpp

I want to generate a 32 bit build of it

but I want to add a 32 between mylib and .o

how do I do that ?

Find the flag you need to pass to your compiler to make it generate 32 bit code.

oh yeah, the flag is -m32

I just wanted to know the proper way to do it in the Makefile

I thought there was something I could put in $@ instead of mylib32.o

I think I will scratch this and just hardcode it...
