The tricky part in that example is that b is a reference (notice the & in the declaration) that works as an alias for a. Later changes to a are therefore visible through b.

That's why the output is 1111 and not 1110

If b were declared as int const b = a; (notice no &, b is not an alias here) the output would have been 1110

oh, got it :P
