I've been using Keil's MDK for quite a while, and it's not that bad. But I had some problems with their C++ support, and couldn't get it to work with G++ either.

Electrical engineers don't have a voice on such, unless they're going to give me a well drawn diagram of their overall software concept (electrical circuit diagrams don't cout in this case). Mostly they miserably fail on this, and just crawl back to their habitats yowling.
