Sorry "spam" was the wrong, too strong expression. "link to own content, promoted".
I do not know the technicals. Maybe it is helpful, maybe it only attracts traffic. That is why I ask.

@Yunnosch Doesn't seem like it. Can't quite tell if there's some affiliation, but it's not really a recommendation, so shouldn't be any concern about promotion.
