This band is a bit weird to me tbh in that I find it meh as background music, but love it when I take the time to actually pay attention to the riffs

I used to be bored too when listening to black metal-adjacent music

until I was exposed to huge amounts of it in the car to and from rehearsals, to and from concerts

having two black metal drummers in my band at some point definitely helped haha

I think that it helped me to understand what was interesting and how to listen to drums and hugely distorted guitar riffs

it was definitely acquired taste and not love at first hearing
