Q: Why is the restrict keyword not part of C++?

The title says it all. I am curious why is the restrict keyword not part of C++ ? I don't know much about C++, and I'm still not able to find anything online that would give a reason blocking this. Does anyone know what terrible things would happen, if a C++ standard would use this keyword simila...

@Bartek I ran some more tests and I also implemented splitting, since Steam is taking literally 45+ minutes to update.

With debug, no optimizations, no bittwiddling or const fiddling, I'm getting some 28 - 30 ms times to perform DSP on the buffer.

@gnzlbg I optimized it for raycasting, mainly. Dunno how hard it would be to add what you want.

the problem im having is generalizing searching for neighbor nodes sharing (n-m)-dimensional faces

@Jefffrey It tells the compiler that two pointers don't alias or overlap.

That way the compiler can re-order accesses to them.

it's basically an hint to the compiler for optimizations on pointers?

i is for inventory and k is sometimes used for skill assignment

hjkl for movement isn't so great when you need to be using them as letters

I use the arrow keys to also browse websites to scroll

and to move through code (I don't use vim)

My biggest use of the arrows keys is probably the up arrow through previously used terminal commands

it's not different from here

marriage is a government thing but some people want to get married in church but there's no way a gay person will marry in church

in which case, I'd still argue that "here" wherever that is has too many religious concessions.
