Most of the results I found kept talking about invoking undefined behavior that actually works in compilers to use a particular bitpattern in a float.

When I was a kid we used to have fish. But they kept getting sick and decided not get more as they died out.

We had hermit crabs for a while, but they had a very high mortality rate when they molt.

I've had so many different pets

We had frogs and toads, but they cannablized each other and were annuals. So we didn't get more.
