Great success. Our game has daily tasks for players, and those are defined with an absolute chance (x%) to be selected. Or at least, that's what the data says. The chance is parsed in the code, and then ignored.

@CatPlusPlus It most certainly does. In fact, formatting is pretty much all an iostream itself does. If you want "raw" I/O with little or no formatting, it's your own fault for using iostreams at all. You should be using a streambuffer instead.

To be just a little more complete: the iostream doesn't so much do formatting, as act as a match-maker between I/O done by a streambuffer, and formatting done by a locale.
