Ok I understand the concept of pointers to pointers. But I don't know why this doesn't work. void function(int **x) { *x = 10; } I keep getting the error: a value of type "int" cannot be assigned to an entity of type "int*" What am I doing wrong or what am I not understanding about poi...

x is pointing to a type of int *, not int. You either want to do *x = &10 or **x = 10.

Then each one of them has to produce a peep sound. If the kid in the middle can tell one of the ones in the circle by the sound only, that one has lost and has to give up his price.

It's amazing how unable kids are to be silent, to not to chuckle, and not to say "I want the same price she has!", or "Now you said something and the kid in the middle knows who you are! Oops." I then made them switch places once again. We sometimes had to switch places half a dozen times, until they had it. Made the time fly by.
