well if thats the only way you set VSP, then perhaps we should trace IsVirtualizing?

already done: always at true

plus it would change much as i removed the trigger that depends on it

i put a breakpoint in the StakPanel constructor

and it's never called

heres an idea

i came accross some very weird stuffs these last 3 years

change your VSP to WrapPanel

just set your itempanel to wrappanel instead of doing it with trigger

and see if you can get stack panel to kick in

i dont do it with a trigger actually, it a simple setter in a style

my approach would still be to search through my code (and xaml) for all references stackpanel

well i think it's easier to breka it with the wrappanel

without virtualization, its clearer

so anywhere that you set a stackpanel - add a property of say background colour - choose a hideous colour!

that seems funnier ^^

then when you finally hit the colour u know exactly which style broke it

well debugging this sort of thing is bad enough - this gives me a AHA!! moment :)

my colour influence also comes from my design professor

he had the worst sense of colour I've ever seen in anybody

his favourite combo was bright Red with Bright Green text on it

trying to solve a very weird issue

his treeview panel changes to stackpanel midway during the program

regardless of what panel is set up

we're down to bruteforcing the issue out but feel free to take reigns :)

if I were you, I'd start a new project. Replicate the TreeView part in there and import code slowly and see when I break it
