@Neal Ah, I'm afraid I can't help you there. I've used ManyToMany a bit, but I only interact with them using an entirely custom interface, not the Django Admin. (Even what I've done in the admin is pretty heavily customized, so I don't know a lot of the right ways to do more standard stuff.)

In order words in I have an Instance with many columns. and each column can have many instances.

I call many to many on the 2nd class (columns) but then how do I read that relationship in the 1st class (instances)
