Does anyone else thing Bootstrap is wrong for adding margins to everything?

I feel like that ought to be opt-in, rather than making me override it

Well, I have an h3 in the left col and a date in the right col and the margin on the h3 makes the text out of vertical alignment with the date

that kind of thing happens constantly

ul's are left-padded like 15px

I don't see a need for that by default - just something unexpected I have to remove

I'd rather do .indented for something like that

I agree on the headings margin but I guess you could say that about a lot of things in Bootstrap

Found a solution, use overflow:hidden on the td and a large negative margin and equally opposite padding on the div. See: jsfiddle.net/HPB8Q/1

Sassy people: width: (100 / $i) * 1%; that works - but sucks to read

is there a reasonable way to separate the mass from the % sign which is unrelated?

It looks like I'm trying to multiple by 1% rather than 1

I tried:

$percent: (100 / $i) * 1;
width: $percent%

which isn't much better

and

width: #{$percent}%

but neither work

oh, 1 is just a filler number - doesn't make sense, I know

You actually do have to multiply something by 1% to make it a percentage

Fellas need advice

I want to make a spinning globe, where pointers or shapes on the globe over certain locations (usually, the major cities) mark some numbers (usually in the millions/billions, needs to be formatted somehow). The globe should either spin, or jump between the points. The data should update periodically (once a few minutes - once an hour).

Should be as sexy as possible, and will be displayed on a large screen TV

I was told Google Earth can do it, anyone has experience with that / can anyone offer other possibilities?
