see problem is earlier it was not working with any network weather mobile net or wifi but now it is working fine for wi fi. But I want it to work for the mobile net too@PG_Android

and the issue is my first activity is working good

but the second activity is not able to connect to servlet

imean not able to post data and get response

it is crashing

in my log cat I m getting string out of the bound exception

but this exception is becoz i m applying subscript on the string which has length=0

and this is becoz i m not able to get response srting from servlet

so the main problem is my activity is not getting response from servlet

@PG_Android do u know how to close the http connection after my first activity has communicated iwth the servlet

i think this can help

closing the servlet connection and then starting it again when second activity starts @PG_Android

i set two buttons one default and another one gallery . if i select default means show drawable image . or if i slect gallry means open gallery and show .this are stored in sharedpreference.supposeIf there is no image want to open default image

and second is the current date

i m sending these two values to the servlet
