In other news, I'm really really beginning to hate Git.

USe Mercurial / SVN for a bit

git fetch wiped my directory.
All I want to do is switch my remote to point to another repo
But of course I can't checkout a branch without git fetch it seems.
And when I do that it destroys everything there.
