Makefiles have nothing to do with C, though I admit I'm well beyond the point of no return when it comes to figuring out why people have a hard time with makefiles.

Nope. But I thought looking at the syntax would be the first step. That, I believe, is being done in the makefile (unless I completely misunderstand how it works)

They don't check syntax or anything. They just set up targets with dependencies and tasks to build those targets.

Also probably without passing multiple source files since I'm guessing each ex*.c file has its own entrypoint, in which case that's definitely an error.

Did you save the file you pasted to a directory other than the one that you're compiling in so you have some old broken copy in one directory and the right version in another?

installed meslo dz s font to ubuntu, customized it as the one and only for android studio's font (interface I mean), then wanted to set it to use in editor - it's not on the list. What the... ?
With windows8 everything worked great. Does anybody know, why is that?
